1940’s Trip To Post Office In Clemson
(Photos Uploaded By Alan Cutts)
Today’s photo is from the late 1940’s and it shows the old location of the Methodist Church. Cadets would walk across Highway 93 at this location on their way to the Post Office (which is now Mell Hall).
Today, this is the location of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Day School.
This area also serves as public parking for football games, and many Clemson fans (and opposing fans) have paid anywhere from $1 to $25 to park on this hill driveway throughout the years.
(Note: If you have old pictures dating before 1990 that are Clemson related and you would like to share them, send them to me in an email with as much information about the picture as you can give and I will use it for a future “Clemson Historic Picture Of The Day”).
