Tiger Band Marches Towards Stadium In Early 1960’s

Today’s photo is from the early 1960’s and shows Tiger Band making the traditional walk towards Death Valley.
You can assist with pinning the date of this picture by the color shade of the North Stands in the right of the picture. As you can see, there is a lighter color at the top of the North Stands. This is a result of the expansion to the North Stands in 1960 that expanded Death Valley to a capacity of 43,451.
You can also notice that Littlejohn Coliseum has not been built yet in this picture. Those buildings in the location where Littlejohn now sit are called “prefabs” and were used to house married students during this era.
