Tiger Pregame Show Broadcast Notes For Homecoming Saturday!

Looking for a place to grab a drink, some food, and a place to hear great Clemson football talk after looking at the Homecoming Floats on Saturday?

We are excited for Homecoming Weekend and the first ACC Home game of the season this Saturday!  On Saturday, will broadcast from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. live from Mellow Mushroom in Clemson across from Hoke Sloan Tennis Complex.

The Tiger Pre-Game Show at Mellow Mushroom is Presented by Crown Royal and there will be a great portable bar set up, games, prizes, and giveaways. You can sample Crown Royal products, win CR prizes and be a part of the biggest pre-game party in Clemson.

In addition, food and drinks from Mellow Mushroom are available while you listen to the show…it really is going to be a tailgate atmosphere.

Mark Sturgis is this year’s co-host and we will have special guests on throughout the day, including a breakdown of the best Homecoming Floats this year on Bowman Field by "Kellie The Intern"

Dabo, Chad Morris, Brent Venables, and a host of Clemson players will set the scene for you in this week 4 game for our #3 ranked Tigers.

Kellie The Intern will be on hand to help us judge the Homecoming Floats, which will include photos of the floats on the Tiger Pregame Show Facebook and Twitter feeds.

Construction Of The North Upper Deck In 1983

(Photos Uploaded By Alan Cutts)
Today’s photos are a series of shots during the construction of the North Upper Deck in 1983.

The North Upper Deck is comprised of 22,500 yards of concrete, 2,200 Tons of reinforcing steel, 3,000 tons of asphalt, 5,800 gallons of paint, and 60,000 pounds of aluminum seating

The North Upper Deck height is 13.36 stories and the length is 560 feet. The total cost of the North Upper Deck was $13.5 million

To illustrate the quality of the investment of the upper deck.  The $13.5 million dollar investment is recovered in just 3 years (7 home games per year) in ticket sales.  Each game Clemson sells out the North Upper Deck, over $600,000 goes towards Clemson Athletics.

The North Upper Deck is slightly larger than the South Upper Deck. The reason for this is simple. Engineers had more room to build behind the North Upper Deck than they did behind the South Upper Deck (with Cemetery Hill behind the South). This al…
