Dark Territory Clemson Letterman Photo Of The Day
Andrew "Andy" Roosevelt Headen was born in Asheboro, North Carolina before coming to Clemson as a linebacker.
Headen was on the 1981 National Chamionship team and was drafted by the New York Giants in 1983.
A small herniation of a spinal disk ended Andy Headen's six-year career with the Giants.
During his time with the Giants, Headen backed up Lawrence Taylor at right outside linebacker. He played mostly in the nickel defense, with career totals of 19 sacks and 6 interceptions.
