Dwayne Allen


Dwayne Allen was a tight end at Clemson who redshirted in 2008 before coming onto the scene during the 2009 season.  Allen a big impact on the overtime win at Miami (FL) when he had four catches for 36 yards. 


In 2010, Allen was one of 22 midseason candidates for the John Mackey Award before earning Second-Team All-ACC.  Allen finished the year third on the team in receptions (33) in 765 snaps. 



In 2011, Allen was the John Mackey Award winner and became the first Tiger finalist and winner of the award.  Allen also was a consensus first-team All-American that year.  Allen’s receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns were the most by a Tiger tight end in school history.
