9 Days Until Kickoff! Remembering The College Football Playoff Journey

9 Days Until Kickoff!
Remembering The Journey With College Football Playoffs!
Orange Bowl National Semifinal vs. Oklahoma Part II

This wasn't just a beating. It was a beatdown.

Baker Mayfield, who threw for 311 yards but was picked off twice, wobbled off the field in the closing minutes after taking a shot to the head.

Semaje Perine went out for a while with a leg injury. Oklahoma's #2 running back Joe Mixon appeared to be knocked unconscious and never returned.

Andy Teasdall’s fake punt pass to freshman Christian Wilkins sparked Clemson early. Teasdall was placed in Dabo Swinney's doghouse for a failed fake punt in the ACC Championship vs. North Carolina a few weeks earlier, but redeemed himself nicely with the great throw to Wilkins.

Deshaun Watson threw for 187 yards and rushed for another for another 145 yards, including a run for TD. Freshman Hunter Renfro had 4 catches for 59 yards, including a 35 yard touchdown reception.

May 3rd Clemson Historic Picture Of The Day

Construction Of The North Upper Deck In 1983

(Photos Uploaded By Alan Cutts)
Today’s photos are a series of shots during the construction of the North Upper Deck in 1983.

The North Upper Deck is comprised of 22,500 yards of concrete, 2,200 Tons of reinforcing steel, 3,000 tons of asphalt, 5,800 gallons of paint, and 60,000 pounds of aluminum seating

The North Upper Deck height is 13.36 stories and the length is 560 feet. The total cost of the North Upper Deck was $13.5 million

To illustrate the quality of the investment of the upper deck.  The $13.5 million dollar investment is recovered in just 3 years (7 home games per year) in ticket sales.  Each game Clemson sells out the North Upper Deck, over $600,000 goes towards Clemson Athletics.

The North Upper Deck is slightly larger than the South Upper Deck. The reason for this is simple. Engineers had more room to build behind the North Upper Deck than they did behind the South Upper Deck (with Cemetery Hill behind the South). This al…

Chestnut Hill, the home of Boston College, is a quiet, affluent, and quant village located six miles west of downtown Boston, Massachusetts.

Like all Massachusetts villages, Chestnut Hill is not an incorporated municipal entity. Unlike most Massachusetts villages, Chestnut Hill encompasses parts of three municipalities: the town of Brookline in Norfolk County; the city of Boston in Suffolk County, and the city of Newton in Middlesex County.

This unique dynamic also plays into some of the politics of what you can, and cannot do, at a football game at Boston College….more on that in a bit.

Clemson had played in Chestnut Hill prior to …
